The Army-Baylor Doctor of Nursing Practice program in Anesthesia Nursing prepares selected nurses to become Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists in military healthcare. The program combines advanced academic and clinical training with a substantial active-duty commitment.

If selected, you are commissioned as a Regular Army officer and receive the pay and benefits stated in the current program terms while attending the program. The current program terms describe tuition coverage during the program; confirm covered expenses before accepting the offer. To be selected, you must meet Baylor University’s academic standards and complete the applicable Army and university selection processes.

You will need at least one year of qualifying critical-care nursing experience, as defined by the Council on Accreditation, and competitive GRE scores. Review the current Baylor admissions window and submit the university application through its designated portal.

If selected, you serve on active duty while attending the DNP program and then fulfill the additional Active Duty Service Obligation stated in the program terms. The commitment includes 36 months during training followed by a 60-month obligation after completion.
