The Army Clinical Psychology Internship Program provides intensive supervised training at designated military medical treatment facilities in the United States. These facilities include Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg in North Carolina, Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, San Antonio Army Medical Center at Joint Base San Antonio in Texas, and Madigan Army Medical Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington. During the internship, you train in clinical settings that expose you to situations and responsibilities specific to military psychology.

You must meet the program’s academic and professional standards. Your application must include a letter from your university dean’s office confirming your academic standing, current program, GPA, and anticipated graduation date. The letter documents your academic status for the selection process. If selected, you enter the program in the rank specified by the current accession terms.

The program includes a defined service commitment. After completing the one-year internship and required licensure, you fulfill the stated 36-month Active Duty Obligation. During that service period, you apply your clinical training in Army behavioral-health settings. The annual selection cycle is held in January.

The program combines academic requirements with supervised clinical experience in a military setting. Contact Marcus to discuss how your doctoral program, internship timeline, and professional goals compare with the current selection requirements.
